Hair loss can be stressful for a man, but can be more for a woman. Women with hair loss may lose confidence and the general feeling of unattractiveness.  Women are only recently being taken seriously for the condition of hair loss.  Now there are available treatments for both men and women.  Hair loss can result from stress, or an underlying health condition or it may just run in the family.  There are many treatments available today. It’s advised to consult a doctor before doing any treatment. Have him run the necessary blood tests to make sure that you do not have any underlying condition.

  • Androgenic Alopecia is hair loss for both men and women. With Androgenic Alopecia in women, the hair starts to thin.  This form of hair loss can begin from the age of twenty.
  • Alopecia areata affects both men and women. Hair loss is in different degrees, from small to severe. Alopecia causes round small patches of hair loss. Fortunately, the hair follicles do grow back in most cases.

Nizoral or Ketoconazole.

Nizoral is a hair loss shampoo that contains 2 Ketoconazole. It’s an anti-fungal    treatment that can cause the production of testosterone and androgens.

Hair Loss Shampoos

One of the simplest ways to treat your hair is hair loss shampoos. The shampoo must contain ingredient to nourish your hair and scalp. Trying looking for a shampoo created for the purpose of scalp care. Look for one with amino proteins.  You can also try to look for hair loss shampoos that contain the following ingredients:

Herbal ingredients.

Try looking for or using Saw Palmetto. Saw Palmetto inhibits the production of DHT. Other helpful herbs are bay and Nettle. Try looking for hair loss shampoos that have these ingredients.

Essential oils.

Look for essential oils such as Lavender. Lavender stimulates healthy hair and   decreases the rate of hair loss.
